Mr Hobby Mr. Paint Station Almighty Clip Base Small GT68
The Mr Hobby Mr. Paint Station GT68 is a set of four compact painting bases designed to support small model kit parts while they are being painted and left to dry. Each base measures 120 x 85mm and provides a convenient way to hold individual components without handling freshly painted surfaces.
The bases securely support toothpicks, wooden chopsticks and metal wire used as temporary handles for model parts. This lets you position components for airbrushing or brush painting, then place them in the station to dry without removing them from their holders.
Holding Parts During Painting
Small model components can be awkward to hold, particularly when several surfaces need painting. The Mr. Paint Station system allows parts to be attached to suitable handles so they can be held and rotated during painting without touching the areas being worked on.
Toothpicks, metal wire and disposable wooden chopsticks can be used as handles. Parts may be secured using suitable clips, masking tape or double-sided tape. For resin components, a small hole can be drilled to accommodate a holding stick where appropriate.
Once painting is complete, insert the handle into the base to support the component while the paint dries. This helps keep individual parts separated and reduces unnecessary handling between painting stages.

The GT68 bases can be used alongside the Mr Hobby Mr. Almighty Clip range, which provides different holding options according to the size and shape of the component being painted.

When securing larger or heavier components, take care to ensure the base remains stable. Sharp toothpicks and pointed holding tools should also be handled carefully.
