History

The M1A2 SEP (System Enhancement Package) V2 is the second major digital upgrade of the Abrams platform, developed to maintain US dominance in armoured warfare. Enhancements include improved power systems, digital architecture, command-and-control networking, and thermal imaging. The V2 also features the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) for increased crew survivability. First fielded in the 2010s, the SEP V2 has seen service in joint exercises and deployments where its technological edge and operational flexibility make it a cornerstone of US armoured forces. It represents the pinnacle of over four decades of Abrams evolution.
