History
The Panzer IV Ausf.G was introduced in 1942 and played a key role in Germany’s armoured forces during World War II. It featured an improved long-barrelled 75mm gun, giving it better firepower against Soviet T-34s and other Allied tanks. With added frontal armour and evolving features throughout its production run, the Ausf.G marked the beginning of the Panzer IV’s transformation from an infantry support vehicle to a true battle tank. It served across all major theatres including the Eastern Front, North Africa and Western Europe, remaining a backbone of the Wehrmacht’s armoured divisions.
