Rye Field Models Plastic Model Kit
StuH 42 & StuG. III Ausf. G Late Production (1/35) RM5086
This dual-option 1/35 scale kit from Rye Field Models allows you to build either the Sturmhaubitze 42 (StuH 42) or the StuG III Ausf. G Late Production variant. Both were among the most widely used German assault guns during the final years of World War II. The StuH 42 mounted a short-barrelled 105mm howitzer for infantry support, while the StuG III G was equipped with a 75mm anti-tank gun. Rye Field offers sharply moulded parts, refined details, and accuracy across both configurations, giving modellers flexibility and historical value in a single kit.
- Dual build option: StuH 42 or StuG III Ausf. G late production
- Includes both 105mm and 75mm gun barrels with mantlets
- Detailed superstructure with late-style cast texture
- Optional side skirts, hatches and stowage equipment
- Photo-etch and clear parts included
- Marking options for Eastern and Western Front units
Note: This model kit requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.

History
The StuG III Ausf. G was the final production variant of Germany’s highly successful assault gun series. By 1943, the line was expanded to include the Sturmhaubitze 42 (StuH 42), which featured a short 105mm howitzer for close infantry support. Both versions used the same Panzer III chassis and were built in large numbers to replace tank losses and provide affordable armoured firepower. Their low silhouette made them effective in ambush roles, and they were widely deployed across all fronts. The ability to build either vehicle from this kit provides excellent versatility for modellers interested in late-war German AFVs.
