History

The Tiger I, officially designated Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E, was Germany’s most feared heavy tank during the Second World War. Introduced in late 1942, the initial production variant saw combat in early 1943. Designed by Henschel, the Tiger I featured thick armour and the powerful 88mm KwK 36 gun, giving it devastating battlefield superiority. Despite its limited production numbers and mechanical issues, it quickly gained notoriety for its ability to destroy enemy armour at long range. This particular kit represents a 1943 version with early production features, highlighting its engineering detail with a fully modelled interior, ideal for showing crew layout, engine arrangement, and internal systems.
