The Su-30SM Flanker-H is a modernised multirole fighter developed for the Russian Aerospace Forces, combining the long-range capability of the Flanker family with advanced avionics, sensors and manoeuvrability. History

The Su-30SM was developed as a domestic Russian variant derived from export Su-30 designs, tailored specifically to the requirements of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Entering service in the early 2010s, it introduced advanced avionics, improved radar systems and thrust-vectoring engines, significantly enhancing manoeuvrability and combat flexibility.

Designed for air superiority, strike and maritime roles, the Su-30SM has been actively deployed in operational theatres, including Syria, demonstrating its versatility and endurance.
