Tamiya Grit Effect Light Sand Diorama Texture Paint is formulated to create authentic desert terrain for dioramas and bases. Its water-based paste contains ceramic particles that dry to a gritty, textured finish, replicating the look of yellow desert sand found in regions such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
- 100ml jar of Light Sand grit effect paint
- Paste-like consistency with ceramic particles for rough texture
- Designed to reproduce desert landscapes and arid terrain
- Covers a B4-sized area with two coats
- Drying time: 3–4 hours in summer, 4–5 hours in winter
- Water-based and low odour, cleans easily with water before setting
This versatile paint can be mixed with Tamiya acrylics to create customised shades. Once dry, it accepts enamel washes and dry brushing for additional weathering effects. Best applied with a spatula or old brush to avoid damaging fine bristles, this texture paint provides an easy and realistic way to add depth and authenticity to desert dioramas.
