This 1/35 scale Tamiya kit recreates the German Flakpanzer Gepard, a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun based on the Leopard tank chassis. Equipped with the Oerlikon-Contraves twin 35mm gun system, the Gepard was designed to provide highly mobile air defence for armoured units, combining firepower with advanced radar targeting systems.

History: The Flakpanzer Gepard entered service in the 1970s as a NATO mobile air defence solution. Developed from the Leopard 1 main battle tank chassis, it featured an advanced fire control system with search and tracking radars, coupled with two rapid-firing 35mm cannons. The Gepard provided effective protection against low-flying aircraft and helicopters, serving in the German Bundeswehr and other NATO forces until it was gradually phased out in the early 21st century.
