History:

Developed in 1943–1944, the King Tiger combined heavy armour protection with the devastating 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun. The Porsche turret variant, built in limited numbers, featured a distinctive curved front with a shot trap beneath the mantlet, which later led to the adoption of the Henschel turret design. Despite its formidable firepower and protection, the tank suffered from mechanical reliability issues and high fuel consumption. Nevertheless, the King Tiger remains one of the most iconic armoured vehicles of the Second World War.
