Tamiya Light Grey Fine Surface Primer L is a premium aerosol primer designed to prepare plastic and metal model parts before painting. Suitable for ABS, styrene (polystyrene) plastic and metal surfaces, it creates an ultra-smooth base that improves paint adhesion while preserving the finest engraved details.

The light grey primer is particularly well suited to darker or neutral paint schemes, providing excellent coverage and a consistent surface for acrylic, enamel and lacquer paints. Its fine formulation also helps fill very small scratches and minor imperfections, reducing preparation time before the final finish.

Once fully cured, the primer can be wet sanded to achieve an even smoother surface, making it ideal for aircraft, military vehicles, cars, motorcycles, figures and other scale modelling projects where a flawless paint finish is required.
