The Jagdtiger, produced by Henschel in 1943, was the heaviest and most powerful tank destroyer of WWII. Based on the formidable King Tiger chassis, it was armed with a devastating long-barrelled 12.8cm PaK 44 gun capable of knocking out Allied armour at extreme ranges. Its fixed superstructure featured 250mm of frontal armour, providing unparalleled protection for its crew. The Jagdtiger first saw action during the Ardennes Offensive in December 1944 and continued to fight primarily in Western Germany until the final weeks of the war.
