This 1/35 scale Tamiya kit recreates the M151A2 MUTT armed with the BGM-71A TOW (Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided) missile system. The M151A2 was a modern successor to the WWII Jeep, offering improved suspension, safety features, and adaptability to multiple combat roles. This variant depicts the vehicle configured as a highly mobile anti-tank platform, capable of engaging armoured targets at long range with precision-guided munitions.

History: The M151A2 entered service in the late 1970s as an upgrade to earlier MUTT designs. Initially armed with a 106mm recoilless rifle, many vehicles were later refitted with the more effective TOW missile system. Developed in the 1960s, the TOW offered a maximum range of 3,750m and significantly improved hit probability over previous anti-tank weapons. The system saw action in Vietnam and remained in widespread use for decades, providing light forces with a potent, mobile anti-armour capability.
