Tamiya Mirror Paint Primer 69951 is a specially formulated primer designed exclusively for use with Tamiya Mirror Paint 69950. The primer creates the smooth, uniform base surface required for achieving the highly reflective mirror-like finish that makes the Mirror Paint range unique. For optimum results, Mirror Paint should always be applied over this dedicated primer.
The primer can be airbrushed directly onto compatible surfaces and is suitable for both styrene and ABS plastic. Once cured, it provides an even foundation that allows the reflective pigments in Tamiya Mirror Paint to develop their full visual effect. Using standard primers may reduce the quality of the finish, making this product an essential part of the mirror paint system.
The smooth finish created by the primer makes it particularly useful for automotive models, motorcycles, aircraft details, science fiction subjects and display pieces where highly polished metallic surfaces are required.
