This 1/35 scale Tamiya model kit recreates the P204(F) armoured car in its unique railway version. Originally a French design, the Panhard 178 armoured car was captured and put into service by German forces after the fall of France in 1940. In occupied territories, some of these vehicles were modified to run on railway tracks, providing security patrols and reconnaissance along vulnerable rail routes.
The kit captures the distinctive lines of the P204(F) and includes parts to depict its railway conversion with accurately detailed wheel assemblies. It also features finely moulded surface textures, turret detail, and accessories to enhance realism. This makes it an ideal choice for creating historically accurate dioramas or stand-alone display pieces depicting German armoured trains or railway patrols.
