This 1/35 scale Tamiya kit depicts the British Special Air Service (SAS) Pink Panther Land Rover, a highly customised long wheelbase Mk II patrol vehicle used in desert operations from the 1970s. Finished in sand-pink camouflage, it was designed for reconnaissance, raids, and long-range patrols in extreme conditions.

History: The SAS originated in 1941 under Lt. David Stirling, conducting daring raids behind enemy lines in North Africa during WWII. By the 1970s, the unit employed modified Land Rovers for desert missions, painted in distinctive sand-pink for camouflage. Capable of carrying heavy armament, extra fuel, and mission-specific gear, these vehicles could operate independently over long distances. The Pink Panther remains an iconic symbol of SAS ingenuity and adaptability in modern conflicts.
