This Tamiya 1/35 scale plastic model kit depicts the SOMUA S35, a French Cavalry tank that played a prominent role during the early stages of WWII. Designed and manufactured from 1936 to 1940, the SOMUA S35 was widely regarded as one of the most advanced medium tanks of its era, featuring cast armour construction and superior firepower.
The model captures the SOMUA’s signature cast hull and turret, along with its well-sloped armour up to 56mm thick and a high-velocity 47mm main gun. Despite limited deployment due to the rapid German advance, the S35 was effective in multiple encounters, with many vehicles later repurposed by both German and Allied forces.
