History:

The Space Shuttle Atlantis was the fourth orbiter built by NASA and flew its maiden voyage in October 1985. It logged over 300 days in space before its retirement in 2011. Atlantis is now on display at the Kennedy Space Center, where it continues to inspire future generations of space explorers.
