Vallejo Squidmar Colour Infernal Purple 220 – 18ml
Vallejo Squidmar Colour Infernal Purple (74.220) is an 18ml purple model paint from Vallejo’s Squidmar Colour range. Its distinctive name suggests a fantasy-inspired colour choice for miniature figures, supernatural creatures and decorative details where purple forms part of the intended design.
Purple has a long association with fantasy characters, magic and elaborate clothing. It can be used as a principal colour on a miniature or reserved for smaller features that distinguish a character’s appearance. Infernal Purple provides an individually named colour for painters developing these schemes.
Fantasy and Demonic Miniatures
Infernal Purple is a natural colour to consider for fantasy figures with a supernatural or demonic theme. Imaginary creatures, sorcerers and other fictional characters can feature purple skin, markings, clothing or equipment as part of their design.
For creature miniatures, purple may be incorporated into selected areas of skin, scales or decorative features. The colour can also appear on horns, ornaments and other fictional details where it suits the intended appearance.
On groups of fantasy figures, repeating a particular purple across clothing or equipment can help establish a consistent colour scheme without making every character identical.
Magical Equipment and Decorative Details
Fantasy miniatures often carry staffs, enchanted weapons, amulets and other imaginary objects. These accessories provide opportunities to introduce colours that differ from those used on ordinary equipment.
Infernal Purple can be considered for painted gemstones, ornamental fittings and decorative sections of magical items. It may also feature on shields, armour details or fictional symbols incorporated into a character’s design.
For miniature figures wearing elaborate clothing, purple can be used on robes, cloaks, tunics and smaller fabric details. Selecting the same colour for several related features helps connect the different parts of a character’s appearance.
Fantasy Scenery and Themed Models
Purple can also appear in fantasy scenery, particularly where the setting includes imaginary architecture, supernatural objects or decorative features.
Infernal Purple may be considered for painted ornaments, fictional structures and selected scenery details. It can also form part of the colour scheme for science-fiction characters or equipment where purple suits the intended design.
