Victrix 28mm Wattle Fences – Historical Wargaming Terrain
The Victrix Wattle Fences set provides 288cm of individually sculpted fencing for creating villages, livestock enclosures and settlement boundaries on 28mm wargaming tables. Supplied on three frames, the set includes a mixture of long and short straight fence sections, gates and separate fence posts, allowing a variety of terrain arrangements.
Wattle fencing has been used for thousands of years, from Ancient Egyptian settlements and British Celtic communities through to Viking, Saxon and Medieval villages. Its woven construction made it a practical way to contain livestock, divide land and protect settlements.
These fences recreate that traditional appearance for historical and fantasy tabletop settings, providing terrain suitable for the Pillage game system and other historical wargames.
Individually Sculpted Fence Sections
Every fence section in the Victrix set is individually sculpted, with no duplicated strips. This gives the fencing a varied, natural appearance, particularly when several sections are placed together to form longer boundaries.
The combination of different section lengths and gate pieces makes it possible to create straight boundaries, divide village areas or arrange enclosed spaces for livestock and other settlement features.
