Heiho: The Mass Battle Samurai Game (10mm) WAARN008S

THE STRONG EAT, THE WEAK ARE MEAT!

Heihō – The Art of War is a complete mass-battle tabletop game that transports players to Japan’s dramatic Sengoku period, where powerful warlords and their armies clashed for control of the nation. Designed for large-scale engagements, the game allows you to command vast armies of Samurai and Ashigaru, recreating some of the most legendary battles of the late sixteenth century such as Kawanakajima and Sekigahara.

With almost 1,000 detailed 10mm miniatures, this set provides everything you need to build and command your forces straight out of the box. Use tactical formations, clever manoeuvres, and the unique military doctrines of the period to dominate your opponents and relive the age of the great daimyōs and their fierce retainers.

  • 8 frames of Ashigaru (656 figures)
  • 4 frames of Samurai (224 figures)
  • 2 frames of Command (108 figures and accessories)
  • 40mm x 20mm bases for all units
  • 16 x 16mm D6 dice
  • Heiho: The Art of War full rulebook by Pauli Kidd (Helion)

History

Japan’s Sengoku Jidai – the “Warring States” period – was a time of near-constant conflict and shifting alliances between feudal lords known as daimyōs. Between the 15th and 17th centuries, powerful clans fought for supremacy, each raising disciplined armies of Samurai and conscripted Ashigaru foot soldiers. Battles such as Sekigahara in 1600 determined the fate of the nation, ushering in the Tokugawa Shogunate and over two centuries of peace. Heiho: The Art of War captures this epic era of tactical brilliance and relentless ambition, bringing its historical drama to your tabletop in vivid miniature form.
