Wargames Atlantic Quar Clash of Rhyfles – 28mm Starter Set
Quar: Clash of Rhyfles introduces the long-running conflict of Alwyd through a 28mm tabletop wargaming starter set from Wargames Atlantic. Bringing together two opposing forces, a comprehensive rulebook, gaming accessories and battlefield scenery, the box provides the components needed to begin fighting battles in the world of Quar.
The set includes 12 Western Arnyaran Rhyflers and 12 Creevish Rhyflers, alongside a rulebook of more than 140 pages, activation cards, unit cards, dice, tokens and scenery representing markets and barricades.
This Quar’s War – Clash of Rhyfles
War has shaped Quar civilisation for thousands of years. From the earliest wandering clans building mud-walled settlements to the rise of fortified citadels and powerful city-states, conflict has remained a constant feature of life on Alwyd.
Most Quar are ordinary farmers, traders and merchants who would rather spend their days working, enjoying ale and eating mothcakes. Yet the ambitions of rival leaders repeatedly draw entire nations into brutal wars.
Now the fighting has reached Creevin. Western Arnyaran clans have returned in force, advancing from the west with their formidable Iron Houses and sweeping across the Creevish countryside.
Standing against the invasion are the Trench Watch, determined defenders of their homeland. Having already endured invasions by five nations, the Creevish forces intend to drive the latest attackers back across their borders.
Clash of Rhyfles places these two opposing forces at the centre of the next chapter of the Long War.

Two Opposing Forces
The Western Arnyaran Rhyflers represent the invading army pushing eastward into Creevin, while the Creevish Rhyflers stand in defence of their homeland. With 12 figures for each faction, the starter set provides two distinct sides for recreating the struggle between the advancing Arnyarans and the determined Trench Watch.
The included markets and barricades add battlefield features around which the opposing forces can fight, while the activation cards, faction unit cards, tokens and dice support gameplay using the supplied rules.
Assembly and Painting
The 28mm miniatures require assembly and painting before use. The included rulebook and quick reference sheet provide the gaming rules and reference material for battles between the two factions.
