This highly detailed Zvezda kit represents the formidable M1931 B-4 Soviet heavy howitzer, famously dubbed “Stalin’s Sledgehammer.” Armed with a massive 203.2mm barrel, this artillery piece played a key role in siege warfare during the Second World War, especially against fortified positions.

This model kit requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.
History:
Developed in 1931, the B-4 was a cornerstone of Soviet heavy artillery. Its distinctive caterpillar carriage helped absorb recoil and ensured stability on soft terrain. First deployed in the Soviet-Finnish War, it earned its nickname by obliterating Finnish bunkers. Captured units were also used by the German Wehrmacht. With a shell weight exceeding 100kg and a range nearing 18km, it remained in service throughout the Second World War, demonstrating the raw firepower of Soviet siege tactics.
