Questo illustre fuoristrada stato sviluppato dalla societ giapponese Toyota Motor Corporation negli anni ’50. infatti il prodotto pi longevo della sua tipologia prodotto dall’azienda del “sol levante”. Si continuamente evoluto in termini di design, capacit del motore e altre caratteristiche tecnologiche che sono state progressivamente introdotte nella serie. Tra i modelli pi conosciuti e riconoscibili c’ la serie “J-40”, prodotta dagli anni ’60 agli anni ’80. Caratterizzato in particolare da un design classico e conservativo, stato acclamato dal settore per la sua robustezza e affidabilit. Il J-40 era disponibile in tre passi: corto, medio (come il J-44 che ottenne un grande successo commerciale) e lungo.
