Historical Background:

The Bergehetzer was a field conversion of the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer, designed to perform recovery and light maintenance duties in combat zones. Built at the BMM factory in Prague, the early variant retained many original features from the Hetzer, including thinner frontal armour and early-pattern road wheels. The vehicle was equipped with a crane for lifting engines and components, and a winch driven by the main transmission system.
