This 1/35 scale Thunder Model kit represents the late version of the Morris C9/B Bofors, a British self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle equipped with the 40mm Bofors gun. Built on the rugged Morris C8 Quad chassis, this variant saw widespread service from 1943 onwards, defending convoys, airfields, and mechanised columns against Luftwaffe air attacks across Europe and North Africa.

The Morris C9/B Bofors was developed as a dedicated anti-aircraft platform during World War II, based on the versatile Morris C8 Field Artillery Tractor chassis. The Bofors 40mm gun, a renowned automatic cannon, was mounted on a rotating platform in the vehicles rear cargo area. The Late version introduced numerous refinements to improve crew protection, stowage efficiency, and gun handling. These vehicles were a familiar sight across British armoured columns and convoy protection details, offering rapid-response firepower against low-flying enemy aircraft and providing a valuable morale boost to troops on the ground.
