Victrix Plastic Model Figures

British Napoleonic Foot Artillery (28mm) VX0010

This 28mm hard plastic set from Victrix represents British Foot Artillery during the Napoleonic Wars, suitable for both the Peninsular Campaign and the Battle of Waterloo. The set includes 3 artillery pieces with multiple barrel options, 3 limbers, and 15 highly detailed crew figures featuring a range of pose and uniform options.

The guns can be built as short 6-pounders, long 6-pounders, 9-pounders, or 5.5-inch howitzers, offering excellent versatility across historical scenarios. The crew figures include multiple arm and head variants, allowing you to depict units in either stovepipe shakos for earlier campaigns or Belgic shakos for later engagements such as Waterloo. Officer head and coat-tail variants further expand your customisation options.

This set is ideal for building battlefield artillery support for British infantry formations in 28mm Napoleonic wargames or dioramas. It captures the distinctive dress and equipment of the Royal Artillery with the quality and variety Victrix kits are known for.

History:

The Royal Artillery played a crucial role throughout the Napoleonic Wars, providing flexible fire support across Europe. During the Peninsular War, British foot artillery became known for its accuracy and discipline under fire, often outgunning French batteries. By Waterloo in 1815, the British artillery had refined its tactics, combining mobility with devastating firepower. Units were equipped with a variety of guns, including 6- and 9-pounders, and howitzers for indirect fire. Artillery crews trained to high standards and adapted to battlefield conditions with precision. This Victrix set allows you to represent these vital support units with accuracy and flexibility across multiple campaigns.
