History:

Between 1942 and 1945, US infantry forces were deployed across multiple theatres of World War II, playing a crucial role in the defeat of Axis powers. Equipped with M1 Garand rifles, Browning Automatic Rifles, and .30 calibre machine guns, American GIs were known for their adaptability, strong logistics, and combined arms doctrine. From the beaches of Normandy and the hedgerows of France to the rugged terrain of Italy and the closing push into Germany, US infantry engaged in intense combat in both rural and urban environments. Their uniforms typically included the M1941 or M1943 field jackets, steel M1 helmets, and canvas gear. This set captures the spirit, equipment, and posture of American infantrymen during the final and decisive years of the war.
