History:
Launched in 1869, the Cutty Sark was one of the last and fastest tea clippers built during the golden age of sail. Designed to bring tea from China to Britain, she gained fame for her speed, competing fiercely against rival vessels in the tea trade. Later, she served in the wool trade from Australia, continuing to prove her worth as one of the fastest sailing ships of her era. Today, the Cutty Sark is preserved as a museum ship in Greenwich, London, and remains an enduring symbol of Britain’s maritime heritage and shipbuilding craftsmanship.
