History:
The Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star was developed from the P-80 fighter in the late 1940s to provide a dedicated jet trainer for the US Air Force and allied nations. In addition to its training role, it was adapted for reconnaissance, target towing, and even combat duties in some air forces.
