History:
Commissioned in 1975, USS Nimitz (CVN-68) is the first of her class and a landmark in naval design. As the largest warship in the world at the time, she has played a pivotal role in U.S. naval operations, from the Cold War to modern conflicts. Nimitz has provided air support in multiple theatres, demonstrating the strategic reach and power of carrier strike groups. After decades of service, she remains one of the most recognisable and capable vessels in the U.S. Navy.
