British Army Warrior Armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicle (1/35)
The Warrior is a British armoured fighting vehicle designed to transport infantry in combat zones while providing direct fire support. Developed by GKN Sankey (now BAE Systems) in the 1980s and introduced into service in 1987, it combines robust armour protection with speed and manoeuvrability. Armed with a 30 mm RARDEN cannon and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, the Warrior can engage a wide range of ground targets.
Throughout its service life the Warrior has seen action in multiple theatres, including the Gulf War, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and served in Germany with the British Army of the Rhine during the Cold War. Numerous upgrades have improved armour, sighting systems, and mobility. Although the Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme aimed to extend its service life, more recent plans look to replace the platform as part of wider modernisation.
