History

The Roman Army became one of the most effective military forces of the ancient world through its organisation, discipline and highly trained legionnaires. Centurions commanded their units in battle, while standard bearers carried the legion’s standards, which served as symbols of honour and rallying points. Although chariots were not widely used in Roman battlefield formations, they remained important in ceremonies, triumphs and some specialised military roles, making them an interesting addition to this classic figure set.
