The AK Fiberglass Bristle Pencil is a precision scratch brush designed for accurate cleaning, derusting, and surface preparation on a wide range of materials. Using a propelling pencil style mechanism, the exposed glass fibres can be adjusted to control how abrasive the brush feels, with shorter fibres delivering stronger cutting action.

This version is especially well suited for deburring and cleaning photo-etched parts, refining injected plastic components, and preparing small surfaces before painting or bonding. The fibreglass tip provides controlled abrasion without the heavy scraping force of steel, making it ideal for delicate modelling tasks where accuracy matters. A twist mechanism at the end of the pen advances or retracts the fibres, keeping the tip protected when not in use.

This is the finesse tool of the range. Excellent for detail cleanup and prep work where steel feels too aggressive and brass feels too soft. Just one important thing, don’t touch the tip. Fibreglass splinters are memorable, and not in a good way.
