Panel liners are used to highlight volumes and define the different fuselage plates, panels, and details on aeroplanes, tanks, trains, cars, ships, robots, and more. All models share the common feature of structures and details outlined by lines, either raised or recessed. To achieve greater realism and visual richness, it is important to accentuate these structures after the model has been painted, adding depth and volume to the details and shapes.
AK Interactive’s precision panel liners are formulated with a blend of enamel-based products that allow the paint to flow efficiently by capillary action, without spreading or staining large areas. The enamel base eliminates the surface tension typically seen in acrylic products, making it ideal for precise panel lining across various model surfaces.
This liner features a highly pointed brush with fewer, longer fibres than a standard brush. This design allows a greater paint load and enables smooth, clean application in a single pass. The fine brush tip ensures the paint flows neatly into recesses and around raised features without overspill, delivering controlled, consistent results for structural detailing.
