Each colour is supplied in a 20 ml bottle and formulated for a specific stage of the process. Follow the Base, Wash and Highlight sequence without complex blending or mixing. The intuitive system gives beginners a straightforward route to effective metallic results while providing experienced painters with speed, control and consistent performance.

Three-Step Weathered Copper System

1. Weathered Copper Base: A high-coverage, fast-drying formula designed to cover in a single coat and establish authentic metallic shine from the first layer.
2. Weathered Copper Metallic Wash: A true metallic ink that flows into recesses, enhancing panel lines, armour joints and recessed details while adding depth and preserving reflectivity.
3. Weathered Copper Highlight: A calibrated highlight with ultra-fine metallic pigment, designed to brighten the base tone without harsh transitions while supporting smooth blending and natural reflections.

The three coordinated colours provide a clear progression from the initial metallic layer through controlled shading to focused highlights. This helps create a stable old copper finish while avoiding patchy shine, muddy mixtures and abrupt changes between light and shadow.

Smooth, Durable Acrylic Colour

These model paints offer exceptional coverage and self-levelling performance with no visible brush marks. Their ultra-fine metallic pigment produces a consistent true metallic finish, while the durable surface resists enamels, oils and weathering effects without lifting.

The paints perform by brush or airbrush. Once dry, they do not reactivate with water and can be blended with other IONIC acrylics to create cool, warm, aged, oxidised or customised metallic effects.
