Border Model Plastic Model Kit

T-34/85 Composite Turret 112 Plant (1/35) BT-027

This 1/35 scale model kit from Border Model accurately recreates the Soviet T-34/85 with composite turret from the 112 Plant. Designed late in WWII, the composite turret featured a mix of cast and welded construction and is faithfully represented with crisp detail and correct proportions.

The kit includes precisely moulded parts, fine surface textures, and optional fittings for custom display. It provides an authentic representation of one of the most recognised tanks of the Eastern Front, used extensively during the final years of the conflict. The running gear, turret and hull details are sharply rendered, offering an ideal base for realistic painting and weathering.

  • 1/35 scale plastic model kit by Border Model
  • Composite turret version from 112 Plant
  • Detailed hull and turret features
  • Optional accessories and stowage elements
  • Photo-etched parts and decals included

Note: This model kit requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.

Important: There is a misprint in the instructions. It incorrectly states there are 8x T1 and T2 sprues. The correct quantity is 4 of each, which is sufficient to complete the model.

History:

The T-34/85 marked a significant upgrade from earlier T-34 models, equipped with a powerful 85mm gun and enhanced armour to counter the threat of German Panthers and Tigers. The composite turret variant, manufactured at Plant No.112, featured a distinctive design combining both casting and welding methods. These tanks were widely deployed in the final push toward Berlin in 1944–1945, contributing to Soviet dominance on the Eastern Front. This model captures the rugged engineering and historical significance of the Red Army’s iconic tank evolution.
