Border Model Plastic Model Kit

Sherman M4A1 Late (1/35) BT-056

This 1/35 scale Sherman M4A1 Late kit from Border Model brings the iconic American tank of World War II to life with exceptional detail and versatility. Representing the cast-hull variant of the famous M4 Sherman, this kit provides everything needed for a high-quality build of the late production model used extensively in the European Theatre.

The set includes both plastic and metal gun barrels, photo-etched parts, and clear components, along with workable suspensions and track links for enhanced realism. Modellers can choose from four different historically accurate decal schemes, adding further customisation. Also included is a full loadout of U.S. Army supplies such as crates and packs, plus captured German gear like a gas mask and helmet, perfect for diorama settings.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Includes PE and clear parts
  • Workable suspensions and individual track links
  • Two barrel options: metal and plastic
  • Four authentic decal marking choices
  • U.S. Army accessories and captured German equipment included

Note: This model kit requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.

Paints are shown for reference only; they may not be recommended in the manufacturer’s instructions and are to be used only as a guide. It is recommended that you conduct your own research to find the finish you want.

History:

The M4A1 Sherman was one of the most recognisable Allied tanks of World War II. With its rounded cast hull and proven reliability, the M4A1 served across every major theatre from North Africa to Western Europe and the Pacific. It was widely used by American forces and also supplied to British and Soviet allies under Lend-Lease. The late version of the M4A1 introduced refinements such as improved armour, upgraded suspension, and revised internal systems for greater combat effectiveness. Despite being outmatched by heavier German armour, the Sherman’s superior numbers, ease of maintenance, and adaptability made it the backbone of Allied armoured units throughout the war.
