Cobra Motor lacquer offers the same glossy finish as your favourite vehicles. It is a toxic product, so it is highly advisable to use a respirator while working with this product.
The acrylic colours in the Cobra Motor Paints range are manufactured using materials of the highest quality, ultra-fine pigments and state-of-the-art resins specifically formulated to achieve the perfect balance between airbrush and brush application. These components, together with the specific high-performance thinner make these paints extremely durable and easy to apply. Thanks to its acrylic formulation, Cobra Motor paints have no smell, so they can be used at home with no problem, although when sprayed through the air- brush, it is always advisable to do so in a well-ventilated area. Cobra Motor glossy body lacquer is formulated from professional automotive lacquers, adapted to achieve maximum performance with the airbrush and provide the thinnest possible layers without affecting the glossy finish. This product is toxic, so it is advisable to apply it in a well-ventilated area and use an appropriate respirator.
The Cobra Motor Paints formula allows for a perfect application via brush and airbrush. They dry to the touch in one hour approximately, depending on the thickness of the paint layer applied, and the humidity and temperature in your workplace. We recommend letting the paint dry for 24 hours to achieve maximum hardness, especially before applying the gloss body lacquer finish. Once dry, other lacquer, enamel or acrylic paints and varnishes can be applied over the Cobra Motor Paints with no problem, as well as all kind of weathering products and modelling masking tapes and decal solutions.
Cobra Motor Paints are applied through the airbrush very easily, achieving uniform and perfect finishes. Dilute them with approximately 50 % Acrylic Thinner Cobra Motor Paint (A.MIG-2260), and spray them with the air pressure set between 1.5 and 2 bar (22-29 psi) apply in thin layers allowing each to dry for a few seconds between each coat. You can vary the dilution and air pressure to suit your personal preferences and the unique qualities of your airbrush.
