This 1/76 scale die-cast model from Corgi recreates AEC Routemaster 522 in its striking Pontins livery, as operated by Blackpool Transport. Originally entering service with London Transport as RM 848 in 1961, the bus was withdrawn in 1985 before being acquired by Blackpool Transport. Renumbered as 522, it became a familiar sight on the resort’s promenade routes.

Following its London career, RM 848 gained a second life on the Lancashire coast within Blackpool Transport’s varied fleet. This release captures that nostalgic period of seaside transport heritage, celebrating both the enduring Routemaster design and the charm of classic British holiday travel.
