This highly detailed 1/43 scale die-cast model captures the Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000 as used by Merseyside Police in the early 1980s. As urban vehicle crime increased, compact yet powerful cars like the RS2000 became essential for fast-paced patrol and pursuit duties. This model replicates one of 15 vehicles supplied by local RS dealer Blakes and put into service at Smithdown Lane Police Station in January 1981.
