History
The DFW C.V was one of the most important reconnaissance aircraft in service with the Imperial German Air Service during World War I. Used for artillery spotting, photographic reconnaissance, and light bombing, it required a skilled crew of two — typically a pilot and an observer/gunner. Crews often operated deep over enemy lines, facing anti-aircraft fire and interception from Allied fighters. Representing these crew members in scale modelling adds authenticity and human context to displays, highlighting the teamwork and bravery involved in these high-risk missions.
