History

The French Armoured Car Model 1914 was among the earliest armoured vehicles deployed in World War I. Built on modified civilian chassis, it featured light armour and a rotating turret, usually armed with a Hotchkiss M1909 machine gun. These vehicles excelled in reconnaissance and mobile fire support roles, offering rapid deployment across varied terrain. Although effective in their time, they were eventually outclassed by more heavily armed and armoured tracked vehicles, marking a significant evolution in military vehicle design.
