History

Introduced in early 1916, the Nieuport 11 was a French-designed biplane that became a symbol of Allied resilience in the skies over the Western Front. Its sesquiplane configuration, with a larger upper wing and smaller lower wing, reduced drag and improved manoeuvrability, giving pilots an advantage in dogfights.
