The Eduard FM-2 Wildcat ProfiPACK (1/48) provides a detailed model of the final production variant of the Grumman/General Motors Wildcat, a rugged and reliable US Navy carrier-based fighter of WWII. Lighter and more powerful than earlier variants, the FM-2 featured a Wright R-1820 engine and improved climb performance, making it highly effective in the Pacific theatre’s escort carrier operations during 1943–45.
This ProfiPACK edition includes Eduard’s finely moulded plastic parts, pre-painted photo-etched details for cockpit and external enhancements, and precision-cut painting masks for sharp, professional finishes. Six authentic marking options are included, covering aircraft from various US Navy squadrons. With its combination of accuracy, detail, and variety, this kit is ideal for WWII naval aviation modellers.
