Flex-i-File Ultra Fine 10000 Grit Flex Pad
The Flex-i-File Ultra Fine 10000 Grit Flex Pad FF-10000UF is designed for the final stages of sanding and polishing where a very fine, controlled abrasive is needed. Its ultra fine polyester abrasive surface is suited to smoothing and refining scale models, miniatures and other delicate surfaces before the final finish.
Unlike a rigid sanding file, the Flex Pad has a padded, flexible core that follows curves and uneven areas. This helps spread pressure across the surface and reduces the risk of the abrasive digging into a localised area. The double-sided construction also provides a practical working surface for careful finishing tasks.
For Fine Sanding and Polishing
With its 10000 grit abrasive, this pad is intended for very fine finishing rather than initial shaping or heavy material removal. It can be used for blending, polishing and removing polishing marks, as well as refining seams, clear coats and fillets before final detailing. The fine abrasive texture is also useful when preparing a surface for a high-sheen or mirror-smooth finish.
The flexible construction makes it particularly useful when working around contours where a rigid sanding tool may be less convenient. It conforms to the surface while maintaining gentle, even abrasion, helping preserve surrounding detail as you work.
Wet or Dry Use
The Flex-i-File 10000 Grit Flex Pad can be used wet or dry, giving you a choice of finishing method to suit the job. It is compatible with plastic, metal, resin, wood and painted finishes, making it useful across a range of modelling and detailing tasks.
For model work, the very fine grit is particularly suited to the later stages of surface preparation and polishing. Use it on areas that need further refinement after coarser abrasives have done the main shaping, so you can progressively smooth the surface without returning to aggressive sanding.
