This 1/35 scale figure set from Gecko Models presents a British machine gun team on the move during the North-West Europe campaign of 1944–45. The figures are equipped with accurate period gear, including webbing, helmets, and the Vickers machine gun. History
In the North-West Europe theatre during WWII, British infantry were often seen on the move—advancing cautiously through villages, open countryside, and shattered cities. Among the most important crew-served weapons in their arsenal was the Vickers machine gun, a water-cooled heavy MG used for sustained fire support. The MG crew, typically a gunner and assistant, would move with discipline and coordination, bearing the weight of their equipment and weapon as they marched toward new positions. This set captures that moment of anticipation between battles—where preparation, vigilance, and duty were paramount. From Normandy to the Low Countries, these troops symbolised the resolve and professionalism of the British Army as they advanced toward victory across Europe.
