GreenStuffWorld Glow in the Dark Tape 10mm x 18m

GreenStuffWorld Glow in the Dark Tape is a self-adhesive photoluminescent tape for adding luminous details to models, miniatures, dioramas and scenery. It absorbs natural or artificial light and then glows in darkness without batteries or electricity. The roll measures 10mm wide and 18m long, giving plenty of material that can be cut to suit individual projects.

For modelling, the tape can represent safety markers, emergency lighting and illuminated panels. It is particularly suited to science-fiction, cyberpunk and industrial-themed miniatures and scenery, where small sections can simulate active light sources without fitting LEDs. It can also be applied to miniature vehicles, robots and armour.

Cut and shape luminous details

The flexible tape can be cut to the required size and adapted to different shapes and scales. This lets you create everything from narrow strips and small illuminated markings to larger glowing panels from the same 10mm-wide material.

Application is straightforward. Clean the smooth surface first, cut the tape to the required size, then apply it and press firmly. Its self-adhesive backing means separate adhesive is not required for application.

Photoluminescent glow effect

The material needs exposure to light before it glows in darkness. For maximum brightness, expose the tape to an intense light source for a few minutes before use. A greater light charge allows the glow to remain visible for longer.

The tape is reusable in the sense that its photoluminescent effect can be charged again by exposing it to natural or artificial light. This makes it useful for modelling projects where a visible glow effect is wanted without wiring, batteries or electrical components.

The tape’s normal colour is yellowish. After exposure to natural light, or when charged using an ultraviolet flashlight, the material produces its glow-in-the-dark effect.
