GreenStuffWorld Hobby Carving Set with 10 Chisel Tips
The GreenStuffWorld Hobby Carving Set combines a sturdy aluminium handle with 10 interchangeable precision chisel tips made from tungsten high-speed steel. Designed for detailed hobby work, the tips can be used on wood, soft metal, plastic and resin for carving, engraving and removing unwanted surface details.
The interchangeable design allows the tips to be swapped in the handle as the job changes. Five different tip shapes and sizes are included, with two of each type, providing options for working on different details and surface areas.
10 precision chisel tips
The set contains:
- 2 x 0.5mm cylinder chisel tips
- 2 x 1mm semi-circle chisel tips
- 2 x 2mm flat chisel tips
- 2 x 2mm triangle chisel tips
- 2 x 2mm irregular chisel tips
This selection makes the set useful for removing unwanted details and surface imperfections, including areas that can be difficult to reach with modelling knives or side cutters. The different tip profiles also allow the tool to be used for engraving existing details or adding custom surface details to a model.
Carving and engraving model surfaces
Engraving can be used to emphasise features such as panel lines or to create additional details. To score the surface, hold the selected chisel tip at an angle of approximately 45 to 60 degrees and pull it lightly across the material. The action can be repeated as necessary until the required definition is achieved.
The combination of interchangeable tips and an aluminium handle gives the tool several uses within detailed modelling work, from cleaning up imperfections to controlled carving and engraving. It sits naturally alongside other chisels and carving tools used for modifying model surfaces and components.
