Water Soluble Patina Black Soot
The GreenStuffWorld Water Soluble Patina Black Soot is a large-format acrylic weathering effect developed for creating realistic soot, smoke staining, grime, and aged finishes on miniatures, models, scenery, terrain, and dioramas. Its partially water-soluble formula allows the weathering effect to be blended and reactivated for highly natural-looking results.
Part of the patina paints range, this product is suitable for military modelling, industrial scenery, fantasy terrain, science fiction projects, railway weathering, and large scenic displays.

The formula allows pigments to naturally settle into panel lines, recesses, and textured areas to reproduce convincing dirt and smoke accumulation. The effect can be manipulated using damp brushes, cotton swabs, or sponges to create subtle weathering, exhaust staining, or heavily aged finishes.
The larger 240ml format is especially useful for extensive terrain projects, large-scale scenery, gaming boards, and vehicle weathering where greater coverage is required. Once the desired finish is achieved, sealing with matte varnish is recommended to preserve the ultra-matte appearance and protect the effect during handling.
