The GreenStuffWorld Water Soluble Patina Filthy Dirt is an acrylic weathering effect created for adding realistic dirt, grime, staining, and aged finishes to miniatures, vehicles, scenery, and dioramas. Its partially water-soluble formula allows the weathering to be blended, softened, and reworked for natural-looking environmental effects.

The formula allows pigments to settle naturally into recessed details, textures, and panel lines, helping to create convincing dirt accumulation and tonal variation. Effects can be adjusted using damp brushes, cotton swabs, or sponges to achieve anything from light weathering to heavily worn and dirty finishes.
The product can be applied directly by brush or slightly diluted for airbrush use when smoother transitions and broader weathering effects are needed. Once the desired appearance is achieved, sealing with matte varnish is recommended to preserve the ultra-matte finish and protect the effect during handling.
